Eurekster Search allows you to see the search that your friends have made. While it’s an interesting idea, I think it’s not really a useful tool. Personally, I’m too worried about what other ppl can learn about my behaviors on the Internet, and I don’t think I will sign up for the service (not even for a trial).

Snow. Snow. Snow. It’s time for another big winter snow storm. Althought I think snow is pretty and romantic, but too much of it can cause a lot of inconvenience.
I’m glad that we went to my uncle’s house yesterday for dinner and brought back some food and the leftovers. Given what we have in the fridge, we can stay at home for at least couple days. It’s good that we are not forced to get out there and dig our car out of the snow.

Another news article that talks about the “Switchers” — people who switched from using the Windows OS to the Mac OS. This time the main character is Tom Clancy.

We are going to SFO tomorrow. Actually I’m going to help out in a conference at Berkeley. I’m so excited about eating better Chinese food and seafood. Of course, I’m also excited about seeing my old friends back in cali.
btw, i just registered a promotion web hosting acct with 1&1 (free for 3yrs). If you are interested, better go sign up before 1/21/2004. i think 1&1 also offers new domain registeration for $5.99/yr.

It’s interesting that Intel plans to spend a lot of money in buildng “digital home” business. Especially, it plans to build new business around the home entertainment units, chips, all-in-one PC’s etc.
To me it’s obvious that the comsumers will have a bigger and bigger appetite for digital home environments once the right technologies emerge (e.g., wi-fi, bluetooth, mini hard disks, LCD).
Again, I think research interests in the ubiquitous computing will continue to grow in the next 3-7 years.
